Key Responsibilities Client Intake & Case Evaluation- Conduct comprehensive legal consultations with prospective clients by phone, video, or in-person.
- Assess case facts, liability, damages, jurisdiction, and overall viability.
- Make informed recommendations regarding representation based on firm criteria and legal strategy.
- clearly explain the intake process and set expectations for clients from the outset.
- Draft and review intake summaries, memos, and preliminary case evaluations for senior attorneys.
- Gather essential documents, evidence, and statements necessary for initial case assessment.
- Identify key issues, potential defendants, and applicable legal theories.
- Ensure accurate and thorough data entry into the firms case management systems.
- Work closely with intake staff, investigators, and paralegals to support efficient case onboarding.
- Provide empathetic, professional communication to clients during high-stress or crisis-driven situations.
- Explain legal rights and options in clear, accessible language.
- Handle sensitive or traumatic case details with discretion and care.
- Coordinate with senior litigators, partners, and subject-matter teams to determine whether cases should be accepted.
- Communicate intake decisions promptly to all stakeholders to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Participate in team meetings to provide feedback on trends and process improvements.
- J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
- 05+ years of experience in personal injury, mass torts, maritime, product liability, workplace accidents, or related areas.
- Strong analytical ability to identify legal issues quickly and accurately.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High emotional intelligence with a client-first mindset.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Fluency in Spanish is a significant plus.
