Major, Lindsey & Africas client has an immediate need for a Project Development & Operations Attorney
Overview: Our client seeks a skilled Project Development & Operations attorney specializing in renewable energy for a six+ month assignment.

Job Sumary: Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Project Development & Operations Attorney to support its legal team during a period of growth and transition. This role will provide hands-on legal support across the full lifecycle of utility scale renewable energy projects, including development, construction, and ongoing operations.
Core Responsibilities:
Project Development & EPC Contracting
- Draft, review, and negotiate key development and construction agreements, including:
- EPC agreements
- Balance of Plant (BOP) contracts
- Equipment supply and long-term service agreements (LTSAs)
- Development services agreements and build-transfer agreements (BTAs)
- Support projects from early-stage development through construction and financial close
Commercial Contracts & Energy Transactions
- Draft and negotiate:
- Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and offtake arrangements
- Interconnection agreements and related project contracts
- MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, and vendor/service agreements
- Provide support for high-volume contracting environments, including:
- Trading-related agreements (EEIs, ISDAs, NAESBs) where applicable
- Advise commercial, origination, and procurement teams on contract strategy and risk
Project Operations & Post-NTP Support
- Provide legal support for operational projects , including:
- O&M agreements
- Asset management, vendor, and service agreements, MSA, NDA, SOWs
- Performance and warranty claims
- Contract amendments and dispute resolution
- Advise on operational risk, compliance, and contractual performance issues
- Support internal teams in resolving day-to-day project and operational challenges
- J.D and active bar membership
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of utility scale renewable energy project structures (wind, solar, storage).
- Ability to review complex project and corporate documents and identify key legal and commercial issues quickly.
- Experience in renewable energy is highly preferred but will consider any power experience
- Thrives in a fast-moving environment, is independent, resourceful and proactive, able to take an unfamiliar issue and resolve it using experience and judgement.
