Litigation Associate Attorney

The Birmingham office is actively seeking a junior- to mid-level torney who can immediely contribute to a diverse litigion practice handling tort, commercial contract, financial services, and construction-reled mters.

Litigion Associe Attorney Requirements & Qualificions

• Active Alabama Bar license in good standing
• 24 years of litigion experience
• Experience handling tort litigion and/or commercial contract disputes preferred
• Financial services litigion experience is a plus
• Construction litigion experience is a plus
• Ability to independently manage litigion responsibilities while working collaborively within a team
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Excellent communicion and client relionship management abilities
• Strong academic credentials
• Exceptional organizional skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Desire to develop litigion skills and build a long-term career with the firm
• Ability to work full-time in the Birmingham office

Litigion Associe Attorney Background & Skills

• Litigion experience in a law firm environment
• Defense-side litigion experience preferred
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
• Exposure to depositions, hearings, mediions, and court appearances
• Strong tention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to manage multiple mters simultaneously
• Collaborive approach and willingness to learn from experienced torneys
• Self-starter with strong initiive and professional murity

Litigion Associe Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of litigion mters through all phases of the litigion process
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research and develop litigion stregies
• Participe in depositions, hearings, mediions, and court proceedings
• Manage document review and discovery processes
• Communice directly with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and experts
• Collabore with partners and torneys across multiple practice groups
• Provide practical legal guidance and stregic support to clients
• Support case management from inception through resolution
