Experienced Construction Litigion Attorney Requirements & Qualificions

  • Active Florida Bar license in good standing
  • 7+ years of litigion experience
  • Substantive construction litigion experience
  • Complex litigion experience required
  • Ability to independently manage litigion mters from inception through resolution with minimal supervision
  • Experience handling hearings, depositions, motion practice, mediions, and court appearances
  • Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
  • Excellent communicion and client relionship management abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and courtroom presence
  • Strong academic credentials preferred
  • Ability to work full-time in the Tampa office

Experienced Construction Litigion Attorney Background & Skills

  • Experience representing owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, or construction-reled businesses
  • Experience handling construction defect claims, contract disputes, delay claims, payment disputes, and reled construction litigion mters
  • Experience working with construction experts and technical consultants
  • Familiarity with construction contracts and risk allocion issues
  • Experience working collaborively within a litigion team while also managing mters independently
  • Demonstred business development aptitude and relionship-building skills
  • Strong client-service oriention and business-minded approach to legal practice

Experienced Construction Litigion Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Manage complex construction litigion mters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, briefs, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research and develop litigion stregies
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Prepare for and tend hearings, mediions, arbitrions, and other court proceedings
  • Communice directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses
  • Collabore with partners and torneys across the firm's construction practice
  • Analyze construction contracts, project documention, and technical records
  • Work closely with experts and consultants in support of litigion stregy
  • Provide practical legal guidance and stregic counsel to construction industry clients
  • Participe in client development and business generion efforts
