Commercial & Construction Litigation Attorney Requirements & Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar license in good standing
- 7+ years of litigation experience
- Experience with commercial litigation matters
- Experience handling construction litigation cases
- Construction contract drafting experience strongly preferred
- Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills
- Proven experience with depositions and motion practice
- Ability to independently manage litigation caseload
- Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
Commercial & Construction Litigation Attorney Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience with construction defect litigation
- Background in business litigation or real estate litigation
- Familiarity with contract disputes and trial preparation
- Exposure to complex civil litigation and courtroom practice
Commercial & Construction Litigation Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and construction litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses
- Conduct depositions, witness examinations, and motion hearings
- Draft and negotiate construction contracts
- Develop litigation strategies and case evaluations
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
- Communicate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
- Collaborate with partners on complex construction and business disputes
