Work Style: Onsite Location: Gainesville, FL FTE: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Supports attorneys by preparing, reviewing, and editing legal documents and case files to ensure accuracy and compliance. Conducts thorough legal research and prepare summary reports to aid case development. Organizes and maintains confidential client records and coordinates communication among all parties involved in legal matters. Assists with filing legal documents, manages trial preparation activities, and oversees project aspects of cases under supervision. Provides explanations of relevant facts, policies, and practices to facilitate effective case management and problem-solving.

  • Prepares, reviews, and edits legal documents, correspondence, and case files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conducts legal research and prepares summary reports and supporting documentation for case development.
  • Organizes and maintains confidential client and case records in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Coordinates communication among attorneys, clients, courts, and other parties involved in legal matters.
  • Assists with filing legal documents, case tracking, scheduling, and trial preparation activities.
  • Manages assigned project components and administrative aspects of cases under attorney supervision.
  • Provides explanations and clarification of relevant facts, policies, procedures, and practices to support effective case management.

Qualifications

Education
  • Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, Legal Assisting, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent legal training preferred.
Experience & Skills
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting legal teams in a corporate legal department or law firm setting required.
  • Strong skills in legal research, document preparation, proofreading, and case support activities.
  • Experience managing confidential client records, legal documentation, and case files.
  • Knowledge of legal filing procedures, court documentation requirements, and trial preparation activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate communication effectively among attorneys, clients, courts, and other legal parties.
