A respected legal services organization in downtown Orlando, FL is seeking a Real Estate Legal Assistant to join a busy commercial real estate team. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a legal support professional with law firm experience who enjoys a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and takes pride in supporting attorneys, clients, and real estate transactions with accuracy and professionalism.

The Legal Assistant will provide diversified administrative, secretarial, and clerical support to assigned legal staff while helping maintain an organized, responsive, and client-focused practice. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced commercial real estate professionals in a collaborative setting where strong internal support, attention to detail, confidentiality, and client service are valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Organize, maintain, open, and close legal files, including conflict checks, file records, database updates, charts, spreadsheets, and related documentation.
- Support commercial real estate matters by handling routine research and due diligence using county, state, and other public information resources.
- Prepare, revise, edit, print, and distribute correspondence, legal documents, and other materials as directed by attorneys and legal staff.
- Manage calendars, contact lists, file listings, meeting schedules, and conference room coordination.
- Assist with the client billing process, including attorney narratives, billable task tracking, billing edits, billing deadlines, and delivery of invoices.
- Answer and route calls, respond to routine inquiries, maintain client relationships, and escalate complex matters to attorneys as appropriate.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $65,000 to $75,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Provide legal administrative support to commercial real estate attorneys and legal staff.
- Maintain legal files, records, databases, calendars, billing details, and client communications.
- Assist with real estate due diligence, routine research, and document preparation.
- Support a high-volume legal practice through strong organization, follow-up, and attention to detail.

- 2+ years of law firm experience required.
- Experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or similar legal support role.
- Real estate law experience required, with commercial real estate exposure strongly relevant.
- Ability to perform routine research using county and state websites.
- Strong document preparation, editing, proofreading, and correspondence skills.
- Familiarity with legal file management, conflict checks, calendaring, and client billing support.
- Proficiency with standard office software, databases, spreadsheets, and document management processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, staff, clients, and outside contacts.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines, details, and competing priorities.
- Professional judgment, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting commercial real estate attorneys in a busy law firm environment.
- Familiarity with real estate due diligence, public records searches, and closing-related support.
- Experience assisting with electronic and paper client billing processes.
- Strong client service mindset and ability to build positive working relationships.
