Job Summary
A well-established legal services team in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal or Senior Legal Assistant to support complex estate and probate matters for high-net-worth clients. This is a direct hire opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who brings strong probate administration experience, excellent client service skills, and the ability to manage sensitive legal matters with accuracy and discretion.
The Probate Paralegal will work closely with attorneys on estate administration, probate filings, client communication, document preparation, legal research, and case management. Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with estate administration and probate matters, including petitions, inventories, accountings, notices, and related court filings.
- Prepare, review, proofread, and organize legal documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with procedural requirements.
- Communicate professionally with clients, beneficiaries, courts, financial institutions, and government agencies throughout the probate process.
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research platforms to support estate and probate matters.
- Maintain organized case files using document management and legal practice management systems, ensuring deadlines and documentation are properly tracked.
- Support attorneys with drafting correspondence, case summaries, estate planning documents, and other legal materials as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $65,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Work location: Tampa, FL 33607.
- Schedule/work arrangement: 100 percent in office, no remote work.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Support probate and estate administration matters from document preparation through case resolution.
- Prepare and file probate documents, including petitions, inventories, accountings, notices, and related pleadings.
- Manage high-volume legal case files, deadlines, client communication, and court coordination.
- Assist attorneys with legal research, document review, drafting, and estate-related client support.
- Strong probate, estate administration, or estate planning experience required.
- Senior-level Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience preferred, with 10 to 15 plus years of strong legal support experience highly desired.
- Experience working with high-net-worth clients and handling confidential, complex, or sensitive estate matters.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Experience with legal document management or practice management systems such as iManage, PCLaw, or similar tools preferred.
- Strong drafting, proofreading, document review, and legal correspondence skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active matters and deadlines.
- Professional communication skills, strong phone etiquette, and the ability to interview clients and gather detailed information.
- High attention to detail, discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment in a legal services environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with UCC law, family law, securities law, litigation, or other related legal practice areas.
- Experience coordinating with courts, financial institutions, government agencies, and third-party professionals during estate administration.
- Prior experience supporting attorneys in a high-net-worth estate planning or probate practice.
- Advanced proficiency with document management, legal billing, case management, and e-filing systems.
