JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you passionate about helping students discover their full potential? Join the University of Maine and the University of Maine at Machias as a Student Success Advocate.
Do you believe in meeting students where they are and supporting them through both successes and setbacks? In this 12-month, in-person role, you will serve as a dedicated advocate, ensuring students have the tools and confidence to reach their educational goals. Based primarily on the Machias campus, you will be the person in their corner, bridging the gap between our two communities and helping students tap into the expansive resource network and vibrant student life at the Orono campus. As a primary point of contact, you will provide critical intervention by leveraging EAB Navigate to identify early warning signs and deliver proactive, data-driven support.
As a Student Success Advocate, you are more than an advisor; you are a connector. This position offers the unique opportunity to travel between UMaine Machias and Orono to foster a seamless student experience. You'll engage with students holistically, which includes joining occasional weekend events to build authentic relationships and a true sense of belonging. If you're ready to be the driving force behind a student's "I made it!" moment, and don't mind a little life on the road to make it happen, we want to meet you! Typical hiring range for this position is $45,500 to $50,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
