Attorney Government Contracts, Procurement, Civil Litigation & Real Estate
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Attorney to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in government contracting, public procurement, request for proposal (RFP) processes, civil litigation, and commercial real estate matters. This position requires a strategic thinker who can provide legal guidance on complex business transactions, regulatory compliance, contract disputes, and real estate matters.
Key Responsibilities
Government Contracts & Procurement
Advise clients on federal, state, municipal, and public authority contracting matters.
Review, draft, negotiate, and administer government contracts and subcontracts.
Provide legal guidance regarding public procurement laws, bid protests, contract awards, and compliance requirements.
Assist clients in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Bid (ITBs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and other procurement opportunities.
Counsel clients regarding contract performance disputes, claims, and termination issues.
Civil Litigation
Manage complex civil litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
Develop litigation strategies and provide risk assessments.
Represent clients in commercial, contract, construction, and business disputes.
Real Estate Law
Handle commercial real estate transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development matters.
Review and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, easements, and financing documents.
Conduct due diligence and title review.
Advise clients on zoning, land use, and regulatory compliance issues.
Assist with real estate litigation and dispute resolution when necessary.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in government contracts, procurement law, civil litigation, and/or commercial real estate law.
Experience with public agencies, airport authorities, municipalities, state agencies, or federal contracting preferred.
Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
Trial and courtroom experience preferred.
Ability to manage multiple complex matters independently.
