A highly regarded and growing law firm in Irvine is seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with strong zoning and land use experience to support a busy real estate practice. This is a critical hire due to team bandwidth, offering immediate exposure to high-level work and direct collaboration with attorneys on complex matters.

Position Overview

This role is best suited for a seasoned paralegal who can step in with minimal training and quickly take ownership of sophisticated real estate transactions. The ideal candidate has deep experience with title, survey, and zoning review and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze title commitments, surveys, and zoning reports for commercial transactions

  • Identify and summarize risks, exceptions, and potential issues for attorney review

  • Support attorneys in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing

  • Assist with due diligence, closings, and preparation of closing binders

  • Coordinate with clients, title companies, surveyors, and outside counsel

  • Track deadlines and manage multiple matters simultaneously

  • Utilize firm-approved tools and technology, including AI-driven platforms where applicable

Billable Requirement & Bonus

  • 1,400 billable hours annually

  • Bonus eligibility begins at 1,500 hours billed

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience within a law firm environment

  • Strong title, survey, and zoning review experience required

  • Ability to hit the ground running with minimal to no training

  • Experience working on multi-state transactions strongly preferred

  • Experience using firm-approved AI tools is a plus (and will be discussed during the interview process)

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with attorneys and clients

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $120,000 - $150,000

  • Bonus eligible based on billables
