This position ensures seamless legal support by delivering high-level administrative and client services that enable attorneys to operate efficiently while providing professional, responsive support to clients.
The Legal Assistant provides essential administrative and organizational support to attorneys by managing documents, coordinating schedules, and ensuring the efficient operation of daily legal office activities. This position requires a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented legal professional who can balance day-to-day administrative and legal support.
The primary responsibilities for this role include:
Legal & Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including document preparation, formatting, filing, and correspondence management.
Client Service: Deliver professional, timely, and confidential communication and support.
Scheduling & Workload Management: Manage daily scheduling, workload allocation, and coverage to ensure consistent and effective support for attorneys and practice groups.
Calendar & Deadline Management: Coordinate attorney calendars, schedule meetings, depositions and monitor deadlines to ensure compliance with court and firm requirements.
Document Management: Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems, manage case files, and ensure documents are properly organized and accessible.
Billing & Timekeeping Support: Assist with time entry, expense tracking, billing coordination while reviewing for accuracy and completeness.
Coordination & Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, paralegals and other support staff to ensure smooth workflow and consistent service delivery.
Policy & Compliance Adherence: Follow firm policies, legal procedures, and confidentiality standards while ensuring work meets quality and compliance expectations.
We seek a team-oriented, dedicated professional with superior client service skills, exceptional multitasking, attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical aptitude, including proficiency in the MS Office Suite. Qualified candidates will have three to five years of experience as a Legal Assistant. Prior experience supporting practices in Litigation and Risk Management, Business, Real Estate and Collections is preferred.
