Kelly Kronenberg's Fort Lauderdale office is seeking a Legal Assistant to assist a growing General Liability team! We are a diverse, innovative, and client focused team that is passionate about achieving our clients' goals. The successful candidate must be a reliable and detail-oriented individual with great communication and organizational skills. We are in need of a Legal Assistant with strong litigation experience, preferably in General Liability defense.
Required Education and Experience:
1 -3 years of liabilty practice experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers and paralegals on day to day tasks relating to Insurance Defense litigation
- Administrative duties to include, but are not limited to, coordinating meetings, scheduling, answering and directing telephone calls, maintaining and organizing electronic case files, and updating files with case status and information
- Scheduling of hearing, depositions, mediations, conferences, and other events
- Compiling and organizing documents, preparing binders and/or folders.
- Gathering and organizing records, documents and other materials
- Drafting correspondence and minor motions/notices
- Ensuring service of subpoenas
