Key Responsibilities:
Draft and file litigation documents with the court in coordination with attorneys
Manage all aspects of discovery including initial and supplemental disclosures
Assist attorneys with Interrogatories and other discovery requests
Calendar and manage court schedules and internal case-related deadlines
Maintain pleadings and discovery index
Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel's staff
Prepare case files for trial including all required pretrial filing
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience with a personal injury background
Prior experience in a personal injury or insurance defense firm strongly preferred
Comfortable handling and interpreting medical records
Strong drafting skills for litigation and discovery documents
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and case management software (e.g., Needles)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
Must be a self-starter, intelligent, and self-motivated
Education:
Paralegal studies, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant work experience
