Corporate Legal Assistant Overview The Corporate Legal Assistant provides administrative and legal support to in-house counsel and legal leadership, ensuring the efficient operation of the corporate legal function. This role supports contract administration, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and internal legal processes while maintaining a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to in-house attorneys and legal leadership Assist with drafting, reviewing, and managing corporate legal documents, including contracts, NDAs, amendments, and correspondence Coordinate contract lifecycle tracking, execution, and document storage Maintain corporate records, entity documents, and governance materials (e.g., board minutes, resolutions, filings) Support compliance and regulatory initiatives by organizing documentation and tracking deadlines Manage attorney calendars, meetings, and internal legal communications Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Operations) and external counsel as needed Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries for legal and executive review Maintain organized electronic filing systems and ensure document version control Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant, corporate paralegal, or similar role (in-house experience preferred) Strong understanding of corporate legal terminology and documentation Experience supporting contracts, corporate governance, or compliance activities High attention to detail with strong organizational and deadline-management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); document management systems preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional, discreet, and service-oriented approach Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
