Litigion Associe Attorney Requirements & Qualificions

• Active Tennessee Bar license in good standing
• 36 years of commercial litigion experience
• Ability to independently manage litigion responsibilities while working collaborively within a team
• Experience handling all phases of litigion, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience drafting discovery, motions, and dispositive motions
• Experience conducting and defending depositions
• Excellent communicion and client relionship management abilities
• Strong academic credentials
• Exceptional organizional skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Comfortable appearing in court and advocing on behalf of clients
• Ability to work full-time in the Memphis office

Litigion Associe Attorney Background & Skills

• Commercial litigion experience in a law firm environment
• Defense-side litigion experience
• Experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions
• Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple mters simultaneously
• Strong tention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Collaborive approach and desire to build a long-term career with the firm

Litigion Associe Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage and support commercial litigion mters through all phases of the litigion process
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research and develop litigion stregies
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare for and tend hearings, mediions, and court proceedings
• Assist with case management from inception through resolution
• Communice directly with clients, opposing counsel, witnesses, and experts
• Collabore with partners and torneys across the firm's litigion practice
• Provide practical legal guidance and stregic support to clients
