A growing boutique law firm in North Bethesda is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support its active probate and estate administration practice. This role involves working closely with attorneys, clients, and court personnel while managing a steady caseload in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. The ideal candidate brings strong probate knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to stay highly organized while handling multiple active estates.
Responsibilities- Support a caseload of approximately 5 to 10 active estates at a time
- Prepare, organize, and file probate court documents with Maryland courts ( paper filing only; no e-filing )
- Manage cases from opening through closing , ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met
- Draft and send client correspondence and estate-related communications
- Coordinate with the Registers of Wills office by phone regarding filings, case status, and procedural requirements
- Assist with locating, inventorying, and tracking estate assets as directed
- Maintain accurate and well-organized case files in both physical and electronic systems
- Manage and organize documents using Clio and Microsoft 365 , including PDF conversion and record keeping
