Establish victim contact when suspects are arrested, transferred, or released from the Detention Center. Coordinate with the victim regarding any bond hearings or other court hearings to ensure that victims of crimes are able to fully understand and participate in the criminal justice process.
Interviewing and assessing victims of crimes and their families; coordinating with multiple agencies investigating such cases; assisting in the interview process of victims of abuse, performing all duties indicated for optimal care for victims and families; performing related work as required or assigned.
Requires a Bachelors degree in criminal justice, sociology or related field supplemented by one to two years of experience in victim assistance, social work or crisis counseling, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess valid S.C. drivers license
