1. Provides direct client services for the Legal Assistance Department by providing eligibility screenings, legal needs assessments, and summary of legal issue/s from individuals seeking legal services.
2. Schedules appointments for potential clients and maintains client appointment calendars accordingly.
3. Maintains up-to-date and accurate client files and databases, as required by agency/department's policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies in the course of performing job expectations.
4. Coordinates third party assistance as needed.
5. Completes and maintains all required documentation in accordance with agency/department's policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies.
6. Supports the Legal Assistance staff with a wide array of administrative tasks to ensure compliance with agency/department policies and procedures, professional standards, external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies in the course of performing job expectations.
7. Must be fluent in English and Spanish to provide language interpretation for clients with limited English proficiency.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Relevant Education:
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum: Associate's Degree

Relevant Experience:
Preferred: 1-3 Years with electronic database and intake systems. Familiarity and knowledge of legal public interest services.
Minimum: 1 Year with electronic database and intake systems. Familiarity and knowledge of legal public interest services.

Certification/Licensure:
Preferred: Paralegal Certificate
Minimum: N/A
