Job Duties
The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking an Assistant Attorney General for an opening in the Court of Claims Section. The successful candidate will take on an a dynamic caseload defending civil lawsuits in the Ohio Court of Claims. We will ask the person who fills this role to litigate a variety of civil cases, including but not limited to, personal injury, wrongful death, employment law, medical malpractice and general negligence. Duties will include all facets of general litigation, including written discovery, depositions, pleading and motion practice, trial and appellate practice. This position is based in Columbus and will work a hybrid in- person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs.

Qualifications
Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio pursuant to Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code.
3+ years litigation experience is preferred but not required.
Experience in medical malpractice or employment law is preferred but not required.
