We are currently seeking a Junior Litigation Attorney to join our Litigation Department and provide critical support to our litigation team.
Position Summary
The Personal Injury Junior Attorney will work under the supervision of the Senior Litigation Attorney and support a team of three attorneys. This role involves active participation in all stages of litigation, including case development, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. The Junior Attorney will also serve as a back-up to the Senior Litigation Attorney to ensure seamless case management and client service.
Qualifications
•Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from anaccredited law school
•Licensed and in good standing with theTexas State Bar (or awaitingresults/admission)•3-5 years of litigation experience, personal injury law required•Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail•Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment•Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client and team interactions•Willingness to learn from and collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members•Commitment to professional growth and development•Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus•Trial or courtroom experience, including motion hearings, depositions, or participation in trial teams is a plus
Key Responsibilities
•Assist the Senior Litigation Attorney and litigation teamin managing a docket of personal injury cases
•Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and otherlegal documents
•Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda tosupport litigation strategies
•Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, asdirected
•Maintain regular communication with clients, providingupdates and gathering case information
•Participate in case strategy meetings and contribute totrial preparation
•Review and analyze medical records, accident reports,and other evidence
•Support the Senior Litigation Attorney in casemanagement, calendaring, and deadline tracking
•Serve as back-up to the Senior Litigation Attorney intheir absence, ensuring continuity in case handling andclient communication
•Collaborate closely with paralegals, case managers, andother attorneys to ensure efficient case progression
