Attorney - Workers' Compensation (Hybrid/Remote)

We are seeking a dynamic workers’ compensation Associate Attorney to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Responsibilities

• Ability to handle large caseload of workers compensation files from inception through resolution.
• Attend hearings, including status conferences, mandatory settlements conference, priority conferences, and trial at the WCAB.
• Prepare for and defend clients at depositions.
• Prepare clients for Qualified Medical Evaluations.
• Conduct depositions of QME.
• Draft pleadings including objections, trial briefs, pre-trial conference statements, and petitions.
• Rate medical reports to determine disability and compliance with AMA guidelines.
• Experience with professional athlete claims a plus but not required.  Candidates with defense backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Bar Membership: Active member of the California State Bar.
• Experience: 2-7 years of experience in workers’ compensation, will consider experience on either the defense or applicant side.
• Passion and Skills: Demonstrated passion for sports and employee rights. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
