Insight Global is seeking a Gun Violence Prevention Specialist to join a client in New Orleans, LA. The Gun Violence Prevention Specialist is responsible for identifying, researching, analyzing, and advancing policies, programs and initiatives that aim to reduce gun violence rates among New Orleans residents. Specifically, this position will lead the Departments efforts to develop short and long term violence prevention and intervention strategies; develop and work with key partners to oversee public-private collaborations to reduce community violence; and develop and implement policy solutions at the local, state and federal level that reduce rates of violence. This position will work collaboratively with community-based coalitions and organizations, health care partners, the business community, the criminal justice/law enforcement system and other stakeholders that aim to reduce gun violence rates in New Orleans. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity following a hybrid schedule in New Orleans, LA.

-4+ years of professional experience in a direct care setting coordinating mental health or substance abuse services OR 4+ years of experience with evidence based programs in violence prevention and behavioral health
-Experience tracking and reporting on data
-Strong communication and organizational skills
-Demonstrated ability of being a self-starter
