What Youll Do:
As a Legal Intern, you will be responsible for performing a variety of complex legal-related tasks under the direction of Foxen attorneys. You will also have the opportunity to interact directly with and provide support to multiple business departments. Our ideal candidate has a positive attitude and is energized by new challenges and opportunities for accelerated learning and growth. The position will be for 40 hours/week and run approximately from mid-May until mid-August. The position may be extended into the school year on a part-time basis depending on the Interns performance and Foxens business needs. Key Responsibilities:

- Review, revise, and draft commercial agreements to align with companys strategic vision, evolving risk environments, and shifts in transactional priorities.
- Conduct legal research in a wide variety of areas to solve unique legal challenges arising out of Foxens product and service offerings, including property and casualty insurance; consumer credit reporting; landlord-tenant law; and data security and privacy.
- Provide assistance in a wide range of in-house legal matters relating to corporate governance, compliance, employment law, and litigation.
- Provide administrative support to the Legal & Compliance Department as needed.
- Assist with management of other Legal & Compliance Department projects and deliverables, as requested.
- Enrolled in a Juris Doctor program with a strong academic record.
- A rising 3L is preferred but will consider a rising 2L if the candidate demonstrates that he or she would be a great fit.
- Must have a penchant for learning new things, curiosity in diverse areas of law and business, and an open mind to take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism in day-to-day work and in all client interactions is mandatory.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership to complete tasks in areas of responsibility.
