Job Description


We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Legal Secretary / Paralegal to provide clerical and administrative support to our legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong typing and organizational skills who is interested in working in a supportive legal office environment. Training and guidance will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, edit, proofread, and format legal letters, documents, and correspondence
  • Type and transcribe documents accurately using both a computer and a typewriter
  • Maintain and organize legal files and records
  • Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and general office communications
  • Assist with scheduling, document preparation, and other administrative tasks as needed
  • Support attorneys and staff with daily office operations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Paralegal, Secretary, or Office Support Professional preferred
  • Strong typing skills required (60+ WPM preferred)
  • Must be comfortable using and operating a typewriter
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Professional communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn legal office procedures and terminology
