Application Deadline - 6/14/2026 Key Responsibilities The Office of the Attorney General is searching for a candidate who is attentive to detail, highly organized, and works well with others, to provide essential support to attorneys and staff in the Criminal Appeals Division. This role involves assisting with office operations and managing criminal case files. This individual will work closely with the Administrative Paralegal to ensure smooth office functioning, coordinating with the Administration Division on matters related to IT, HR, Finance, and Building Management, and help with day-to-day office activities as well as criminal appeals case management. Administrative and Clerical Duties Coordinate with Administrative Division staff on matters related to IT, HR, Finance, and facility management. Ensure proper maintenance of division records and case files in accordance with retention policies. Handle ordering and inventory of office supplies. Develop and manage statistical and record-keeping systems as needed. Organize, schedule, and process accounting for division events and meetings. Prepare financial forms for continuing legal education and annual Bar dues payments. Assist with the onboarding process for new division employees. Update, maintain, and distribute division directories and related information. Support the division librarian in maintaining the law library. Draft correspondence, reports, documents, and other written materials. Assist with answering division phones and welcoming and directing visitors. Case Management Duties Help prepare legal documents utilizing Microsoft Word, PDF, Excel, and other software as required. Review and proofread written materials for accuracy. Electronically file documents with state and federal courts. Manage and maintain calendars. Open and close case files as needed. Update and input new cases into the database. Conduct legal research as required. Qualifications The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
