Administrative duties in the Office of General Counsel.
- Process open records requests to include gathering responsive documents/records, reviewing documents in detail, conducting research, and assisting with draft responses.
- Initial gathering and assessment of data and records.
- Preparation of correspondence, legal documents, and memoranda.
- Organizing and maintaining files and subfiles.
- Review and initiate the routine processing of Open Record Requests.
- Assist in the H-1B visa application process and permanent residency applications.
- Order supplies and pay invoices for the department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirements
- Two years of college.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements
- Two years of administrative experience in a university, business or government office. Additional college education and related experience may be exchanged year-for-year to meet qualifications.
- Must possess strong organizational and office skills, including typing, computer processing, and scanning documents.
- Initiative, multi-tasking, and working independently are required.
- Must have strong analytical skills and be detail and task oriented.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required.
- Must be comfortable using available resources to search for various forms of data.
Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- Experience in legal preferred
