Small, established Maryland law office seeking a highly organized and dependable individual for an entry-level Legal Assistant / Office Assistant position.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a professional legal environment. No prior legal experience is required, but strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are essential.
Responsibilities Include:
Filing and organizing client files
Answering and directing telephone calls
Typing letters and other correspondence
Scanning, copying, and document management
Scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
Assisting attorneys and staff with administrative tasks
Data entry and basic office support
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Professional telephone manner
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and email
Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance
High school diploma required; college students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
Preferred (but not required):
Prior office experience
Interest in the legal field
Experience with Microsoft Office products and Macintosh/Apple computers.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience. $18-$24 per hour.
