AtCommunitiesInSchools,ourmissionistosurroundstudentswithacommunityofsupport,empoweringthemtostayinschoolandachieveinlife.ThispositionisresponsiblefortheoverallplanningandimplementationoftheCommunitiesInSchoolsmodelofintegratedstudentsupportsinstrongcollaborationandpartnershipwithbuildingstaffatidentifiedschools.Thisschool-basedpositionidentifiesandcoordinatesavailablecommunityresourcesanddevelopsnewstrategiesandpartnershipstoprovideadditionalsupporttostudentsandtheirfamiliesthroughconfidential,developmentallyappropriate,culturallysensitiveinterventions,servicesandsupports.

Responsibilities
Workwithschooladministrators,staff,teachersandCISleadershiptoensureateamapproachtobuilduponexistingstrategiesandleveragenewopportunitiestoaddresstheacademic,behavioral,social,emotionalandresourceneedsofstudentsandtheirfamilies.
Assesscommunity,school,andstudentassetsandneedstodevelopanannualCISsiteplanwhichidentifiesgoalsandleveragesexistingresourcestoavoidduplication.
Implementandcoordinatetheannualsiteplanstrategiestoincludeperiodicmonitoringtoassessimpactandadjustservicesasnecessary.
Manageacaseloadofindividualstudentsidentifiedwithschoolleadershipandstaffandprovideindividualsupportsthatmeettheuniqueneedsofeachstudent.
Providewholeschoolsupportsavailabletoallstudentsalignedwithidentifiedschoolgoals.
Maintainfrequentcommunicationwithbuildingleadershipregardingactivitiesandprogresstowardsgoals.
Buildandmaintainlocalformalandinformalcommunitypartnershipstofacilitateaccesstoneededresourcestomeettheneedsofstudentsandfamilies.
Serveasabroadercommunityresourcetoschoolsbysharinginformationandsupportingschoolfocusedactivitiessuchasschoolorientations,openhouses,andfamilyengagement.
Evaluatetheeffectivenessofschool-wideandtargetedstrategiesthroughasystematicdatacollectionprocessandreportprogresstoschoolleadershipandcommunitypartners.

Qualifications
RequiredQualifications
EquivalentofaBachelor'sDegreeand2yearsofrelevantworkexperience;AAdegreewith3yearsofrelevantworkexperience;or4yearsofrelevantworkexperience.
