A highly specialized California litigion firm focused on defense-side mters is seeking an experienced Litigion Attorney to support its growing caseload across ste and federal courts. The firm represents public safety professionals and other clients in complex, high-stakes litigion and is known for hands-on advocacy, trial readiness, and stregic defense.
This role is ideal for a litigor who wants meaningful responsibility, real courtroom exposure, and the ability to run cases with autonomy. The torney will work closely with firm leadership while serving as primary counsel on assigned mters.

Litigion Attorney Requirements & Qualificions
- Active California bar admission in good standing
- Demonstred experience as primary or lead counsel on civil litigion mters
- Ste and federal court litigion experience (ideally with balanced exposure)
- Proven trial experience
- Defense litigion background: public entity, police, civil rights strongly preferred
- Skilled in legal research, writing, case stregy, and client management
- Comfortable working with minimal oversight and independently managing a caseload
Litigion Attorney Preferred Background & Skills
- Defense-side litigion background
- Experience with public entity defense or civil rights defense
- Familiarity with Section 1983 mters or public safety-reled litigion
- Experience handling administrive hearings or disciplinary proceedings
- Practical, hands-on litigion approach with sound judgment under pressure
Litigion Attorney Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage ste and federal civil litigion mters
- Serve as primary torney on assigned cases
- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and oral arguments
- Prepare mters for trial, including stregy and witness preparion
- Collabore with firm leadership and support staff to move cases efficiently
- Maintain compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
