We have an immediate opening for a Law Clerk (part-time or full-time) during the Summer. We are a small civil litigation firm based in Sacramento. Our firm represents clients in a variety of practice areas including, but not limited to, commercial contract disputes, construction defect claims, product liability, personal injury, corporate and complex civil litigation primarily in California, Oregon and Washington but also in other jurisdictions throughout the country.
Job duties include: conducting legal research; drafting memos, correspondence, pleadings, discovery and court documents; and extent document review and analysis.
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
(1.) Legal research experience required;
(2.) Must have completed first year of law school;
(3.) Prior law clerk experience in a litigation firm preferred (but not required);
(4.) Excellent legal and professional skills (including knowledge of calendaring, legal terminology, etc.);
(5.) Prefer applicants with proficient writing skills, who pay close attention to detail, and who have strong analytical skills; and
(6.) Applicant must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to carry out specific orders while working independently.
OTHER INFORMATION:
(1.) Hourly wage depending on experience
(2.) Hybrid work schedule in office and remote is negotiable after appropriate training period.
(3.) Position may extend beyond Summer.
