Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal - Public Finance for a direct hire opportunity with a legal services organization in Orlando, FL. This full-time, in-office role is ideal for a paralegal with law firm experience who enjoys complex transactional work involving public finance, lending, real estate, affordable housing, government representation, bond transactions, closings, and due diligence.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, proofread, and organize legal documents related to loans, bond transactions, acquisitions, closings, and due diligence matters.
- Support attorneys and clients throughout loan closings, public finance transactions, and related legal processes.
- Conduct title review, public records searches, document review, and legal research using appropriate resources.
- Maintain accurate legal files, transaction documents, closing checklists, and related records.
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, internal team members, governmental clients, and private clients.
- Manage a high volume of assignments while prioritizing deadlines and accurately tracking billable time.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire, full-time.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday.
- Work arrangement: In office.
- Location: Orlando, FL.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Draft and manage documents for public finance, lending, real estate, bond transaction, acquisition, and closing matters.
- Support loan closings, due diligence reviews, title review, and public records searches.
- Organize legal files, transaction materials, closing documents, and client records.
- Assist attorneys with high-volume legal support work for governmental and private clients.

- 2 to 5 years of law firm paralegal experience required.
- Experience in public finance, real estate, lending, government representation, and/or affordable housing required.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, legal procedures, document preparation, and transaction support.
- Well-versed in title review, public records searches, document review, and legal research.
- Excellent typing, proofreading, word processing, written communication, and document drafting skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and O365.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong client communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and team members.
- Ability to track billable time accurately and manage a high-volume workload.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Centerbase Cloud-Based Law Firm Management & Accounting software is a plus, but not required.
- Prior experience supporting public finance, affordable housing, bond transactions, or government client matters is strongly preferred.
