Job Summary

We are seeking a Collections Attorney for a direct hire opportunity with a legal services firm in Maitland, FL. This role is ideal for an attorney with experience in collections, banking, liens, HOA matters, or foreclosure-related legal work who enjoys both legal strategy and meaningful client interaction.

The Collections Attorney will handle plaintiff-side matters and provide guidance to clients and opposing parties through sensitive legal situations, including matters involving potential property loss. Key Responsibilities

- Manage collections, lien, banking, HOA, and foreclosure-related legal matters, primarily from the plaintiff side.
- Communicate with clients, defendants, and involved parties to explain legal processes, options, and next steps.
- Provide legal advice and guidance in matters involving sensitive financial and property-related concerns.
- Draft, review, and manage legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and case-related materials.
- Represent client interests while working toward practical resolutions whenever appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal legal staff and leadership to move cases forward efficiently and professionally.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $80,000 to $110,000 per year.
- Target salary listed: $100,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Handle collections, lien, HOA, banking, and foreclosure-related legal matters.
- Advise clients and involved parties on legal processes, risks, and possible resolutions.
- Manage plaintiff-side legal work, including case preparation, documentation, and communication.
- Support resolution-focused conversations with individuals facing serious financial or property concerns.

- 3 to 5 years of attorney experience.
- Active attorney experience in legal services, collections, foreclosure, lien, HOA, banking, or related practice areas.
- Ability to provide legal advice clearly, professionally, and ethically.
- Strong client communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal issues to individuals under stress.
- Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, and strong case management skills.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with clients, defendants, court personnel, and internal teams.
- Must be comfortable working primarily in an office-based setting in Maitland, FL.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with HOA foreclosure matters.
- Experience with banking-related collections or lien matters.
- Plaintiff-side legal experience.
- Background working with clients or opposing parties in sensitive property loss or foreclosure-related situations.
