Job Summary
A well-established, AV-rated legal services firm is seeking an experienced Guardianship Attorney for a direct hire opportunity in Orlando, FL. This role is ideal for a Florida-licensed attorney with strong experience in guardianship, special needs estate planning, Medicaid planning, and client-focused legal counsel for high-net-worth individuals and families.
The Guardianship Attorney will manage complex matters from intake through resolution, working closely with clients, courts, and internal legal teams. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex guardianship matters from intake through final resolution.
- Conduct client consultations, evaluate legal needs, and provide practical guidance on guardianship, Medicaid planning, and special needs planning issues.
- Draft, e-file, and serve pleadings, petitions, motions, notices, and related legal documents.
- Appear in court in the Orlando area and throughout Florida as needed.
- Maintain consistent client communication, manage expectations, and return calls within required timeframes.
- Build professional relationships and participate in networking activities to support business development.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $150,000 per year.
- Salary may depend on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage complex guardianship matters for high-net-worth clients.
- Handle client intake, consultations, pleadings, filings, and court appearances.
- Support special needs estate planning and Medicaid planning matters.
- Maintain strong client communication and manage expectations throughout the legal process.
- Active Florida Bar license required.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of guardianship, Medicaid planning, and/or estate planning experience.
- Experience with special needs planning strongly desired.
- Strong drafting, e-filing, pleading preparation, and case management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize urgent matters, and remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact confidently and compassionately with clients.
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and ability to perform well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications
- Litigation experience preferred.
- Experience representing high-net-worth clients in complex guardianship or estate-related matters.
