Labor & Employment Attorney (CA Employment Experience)
The Position
A rapidly growing technology company is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to support increasing day-to-day employment-related work as the business continues to scale. This attorney will partner closely with HR and internal business stakeholders on a broad range of employment matters, including employee lifecycle documentation, employee relations support, leave and accommodation matters, discovery and records management, subpoena responses, and general multi-state employment counseling.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and be comfortable balancing substantive behind-the-scenes legal work with direct stakeholder partnership. This role requires someone who is highly responsive, collaborative, business-oriented, and comfortable getting into the weeds on day-to-day employment issues as they arise. Strong California employment law experience is highly preferred to support matters across California, Texas, Minnesota, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, and Colorado.
This project starts ASAP, is six months with potential extension/conversion, fully remote, and requires 40 hours/week.
The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $107 and $115. This range is an estimate; an employee's compensation will be based on the employee's qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
