Associate Attorney

Our client is seeking a 2+ years experienced Associate Attorney to join their Consumer Bankruptcy (Chapter 7 & Chapter 13) practice.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in consumer bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases.

• Assess clients' financial situations and determine bankruptcy eligibility.

• Prepare, review, and file bankruptcy petitions and related legal documents.

• Attend court proceedings, including 341 meetings and confirmation hearings.

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel while staying current on bankruptcy law developments.

Qualifications:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligible to obtain licensure.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-relations skills.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and case-management abilities.

• Passion for helping individuals, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in bankruptcy law.
