Job Contributions Works with a team to support crime victims Develops and maintains positive and productive working relationships with co-workers, advocates, prosecutors, leadership and crime victims using principles of good customer service Prepares cases for assignment, reviews and generates corresponding case-related documents Retrieves and distributes database reminders Review and interpret court documents such as minute entries/court orders Generates notifications as required by Victims' Rights statutes Responsible for handling division incoming calls, using multi-line telephone- answering general questions, routing calls and taking detailed messages and returning calls. Responsible for coverage of main reception desk Performs statistical data collection and tracking of information Organizes and prioritizes tasks effectively Enters and retrieves case information from various databases Researches case related information by reviewing police reports, case forms and court documents Responds to victim inquiries in coordination with Victim Services staff Prepares, processes and uploads Post-Conviction forms into the database Processes and documents Victim Information Forms Assists with redaction Operates letter folding machine Assembles packets to be mailed Assists with reviewing and distribution of incoming mail Processes Victim Compensation Delinquency for claims and applications Enters applications in a specialized data system and creates/assigns Victim Compensation cases Attends and sets up for monthly Victim Compensation Board meetings and record decisions Maintains compliance with the Victim Compensation Program rules Prepares Victim Compensation Board minutes and updates/posts Public Notice Complies with grant requirements and meets programmatic deadlines Work in the presence of or with a trained canine that comforts victims Working Conditions Mostly office setting-cubicles in open floor plan Ability to work efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced environment Requires long periods of sitting/standing at desk/computer Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and perform duties at 90% accuracy Ability to travel to and from various county locations for meetings and trainings, utilizing personal or county vehicle Ability to lift/carry/move items weighing up to 25 pounds Exposure to graphic and violent materials A hybrid work schedule can be considered after your first 6 months of employment.
