We are seeking a motivated Trust and Estates Attorney with at least 3 years of relevant experience to join our Estate, Wealth & Succession Planning team in Cleveland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning, trust administration, and tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies. This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and families on complex, high-impact matters in a supportive, full-service firm environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft and review comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and beneficiary designations.Advise clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax matters, including preparation and review of related tax returns.Handle trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings, asset distribution, fiduciary accounting, and post-mortem tax planning.Develop and implement business succession plans for closely held businesses and family enterprises.Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas (corporate, tax, real estate, and litigation) to provide integrated solutions for clients.Counsel clients on charitable giving, family governance, and wealth preservation strategies.Manage client relationships, including meetings, ongoing advice, and responsiveness to client needs.Participate in business development activities and contribute to thought leadership (e.g., articles, presentations, or seminars).QualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Ohio Bar (or eligibility to waive in).Minimum 3 years of experience practicing in trust and estates, estate planning, or a related field (experience in a mid-sized or larger law firm preferred).Strong knowledge of federal and Ohio estate/gift tax laws, probate procedures, and trust administration.Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, family businesses, and complex asset structures is highly desirable.Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple matters efficiently.Collaborative team player who thrives in a client-focused environment.BenefitsHealthDentalVision401k
