Our firm represents defendants in automobile, trucking and trip and fall cases. Salary plus discetionary bonus Responsibilities: Manage all phases of litigation, including case assessment, strategy development, discovery, motions, negotiations, depositions and trial preparation. Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on relevant laws. Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, settlement agreements, and discovery requests with precision and clarity. Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes. Maintain an active diary Excellent communication skills are essential Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing in New York Proven experience in litigation practice with a strong understanding of courtroom procedures and legal protocols. Proficiency in legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis. Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive legal drafting tailored to various audiences. Strong negotiation skills to facilitate settlements that align with client goals. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases efficiently within a busy law office setting.
