DESCRIPTION:

The Albany County Office of the Public Defender is seeking entry-level attorneys able to provide zealous, holistic, client- centered legal representation to indigent clients enmeshed in the criminal justice system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

For the entry-level Assistant Public Defender position, we are seeking an attorney with up to 3 years of experience in criminal practice with a New York State bar admission or ability to waive into New York from another jurisdiction*.

*An attorney from another state, territory or district may practice law in NYS, pro hac vice, for a period not to exceed 18 months.
