We are a fast-paced criminal defense firm based in San Diego. We are looking for someone who understands the flow of a case and can work independently. This position requires someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a high-pressure environment. Our clients depend on us. Many are going through one of the most stressful times in their lives. We need someone who can be firm, patient, and professional, while still showing empathy and maintaining control of difficult conversations. This job is not for the weak. Responsibilities: *Managing active criminal defense cases from intake to resolution. *Communicating with clients regularly *Assisting attorneys with case preparation, filings, and deadlines *Coordinating court dates, appearances, and case updates *Drafting legal documents and correspondence *Maintaining organized and up-to-date case files Requirements: *Criminal defense experience preferred, or minimum 2 years of paralegal experience *Strong communication skills (you will be speaking with clients daily) *Ability to manage multiple cases at once *Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment *Highly organized and detail-oriented *Professional and reliable *Ability to prioritize tasks effectively Spanish is a plus (not required) Experience with Clio or similar case management software is a plus Reliable transportation required Compensation: $25 - $35 DOE Benefits: We believe in being transparent and competitive: Health Insurance: Firm covers 50% of the employee's premium Dental & Vision: 100% employer-paid 401(k) Retirement Plan with 3% employer match Our Culture: Our motto at this firm is simple: we want people to look forward to coming to work.
