Legal Assistant (Part-Time | Family Law & Real Estate) Location: Western New York (Primarily Remote) Employment Type: Direct Hire | Part-Time About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant with a strong background in matrimonial (divorce) and family court matters, along with exposure to real estate transactions. This is a part-time opportunity ideal for a seasoned professional looking for flexibility and a primarily remote work environment. Schedule & Compensation Approximately 20 hours per week $30/hour (commensurate with experience) Primarily remote with minimal in-office requirements Must be based in Western New York Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and file matrimonial and family court pleadings Handle court filings, including motions, judgments, and related legal documents Maintain organized case files and manage legal documentation Support real estate transactions, including document preparation and coordination Ensure compliance with Western New York court procedures and filing requirements Communicate with attorneys, courts, and clients as needed Qualifications Proven experience in family law / matrimonial law (required) Hands-on experience with court filings, motions, and judgments Familiarity with Western New York court systems and procedures Experience supporting real estate transactions (preferred) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Ideal Candidate Experienced legal assistant seeking part-time, flexible work Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Strong knowledge of local court filing processes Well-suited for a seasoned professional transitioning to part-time work Work Environment Fully remote with occasional in-office presence (~5 hours/week as needed) Collaborative, low-overhead team structure Flexible scheduling within agreed weekly hours
