Civil Legal Assistant Part-Time

What You'll Do:
- Prepare, draft, proofread, and process legal documents and correspondence.
- Manage attorney calendars, court schedules, deadlines, and case tracking systems.
- Create, organize, and maintain legal files and trial folders.
- Coordinate with clients, courts, and external agencies.
- Utilize legal systems, e-filing platforms, and other electronic databases.
- Ensure legal documents meet court formatting and filing requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive legal information.
- Provide professional and tactful assistance to the public under stressful situations.

What Were Looking For:
- Associate of Science or Applied Science degree in Legal Secretarial Studies from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of (1) year of secretarial or clerical experience, or a minimum of two years of senior secretarial experience in a law office.
- Experience with legal terminology, procedures, and standard office practices in a legal setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations while interacting tactfully with others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, managing multiple tasks with a high level of attention to detail.
- High level of professionalism and strict confidentiality standards.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
