The Senior Counsel will be a key resource guiding business partners on a broad range of legal and compliance matters. The position reports to the General Counsel and is based in Sirtex's Woburn, MA headquarters.
NOTE: This position requires the the chosen candidate to be able to report to the Woburn, MA office weekly. Candidates need to be located in MA and able to be onsite, or must we willing to relocate to accommodate this requirement. Our current hybrid arrangement is 3x/week in office and 2x/week remote.
Primary Responsibilities
Independently draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including agreements with customers, distributors, suppliers, service providers, and advisors.
Serve as Sirtex's Security Officer by managing recurring privacy audits and overseeing compliance with HIPAA and other US privacy requirements.
Research and advise on diverse issues facing the business, including within the areas of employment law, interactions with healthcare professionals, IT initiatives, medical device marketing, tax matters, and medical affairs projects.

J.D. required.
Up to 7 years of in-house and/or law firm experience working within the life sciences, healthcare, or other highly regulated industry.
Meticulous, agile, curious, and creative.
Collegial with confident humility.
