Job Description:

Microchip's Legal Department is seeking a Senior Counsel - Aerospace & Defense to join our team at our corporate offices in Chandler, Arizona or remotely. This attorney will support both general commercial matters and aerospace and defense ("A&D") business. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of commercial and government contracts, is business-oriented, and excels at advising and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams that support key markets.

Senior Counsel responsibilities include:

Support, collaborate with, and advise Business Units, Sales, and internal support teams on compliance and contract matters, including draft, redline, and negotiate commercial and government contracts.

Review and draft data rights assertions.

Provide business-oriented guidance and impact assessments resulting from regulatory and administrative changes.

Advise and train on compliance with federal contractor obligations, such as cybersecurity requirements (e.g., NIST 800-171, CMMC), U.S. National Defense Authorization Act, Buy American Act, Trade Agreements Act, counterfeit parts regulations, and other sourcing...
