Full service Brickell law firm is seeking a legal secretary for our Environmental, Land Development & Government Relations group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of legal experience. Candidates must be proficient in MS Word, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a multi-task environment. Major law firm experience preferred.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage busy attorney calendar and resolve scheduling conflicts, including docketing all regulatory agency deadlines (federal, state, county, and local); and tracking and calendaring all Commissioners Meetings and meetings with regulatory agency staff
- Responsible for handling client Trusts and coordinating consultant engagements on Environmental matters
- Perform research on various agency websites to obtain requested materials and status updates on applications, cases, and other matters.
- Conduct background research to submit conflict checks for new matters using Sunbiz and Property Appraiser
- Maintain tracking sheet for high-volume of matters throughout administrative lifecycle; follow-up on pending engagement letters and retainer deposits
- Act as the liaison for communication between attorneys and internal Firm departments
- Responsible for lobbyist registrations in all municipalities, as required
- Manage and submit expense reimbursements
