Legal Assistant - Real Estate & Litigation (Hybrid)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 annually

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support a dynamic legal team focused on commercial real estate transactions and litigation matters. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with attorneys who have varying workflows and support needs.

Key Responsibilities

Legal & Administrative Support

  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence
  • Assist with e-filing in state and federal courts
  • Maintain organized document management systems (electronic and physical)

Real Estate & Litigation Support

  • Support commercial real estate transactions, including closing preparation and document coordination
  • Assist with litigation case management, including discovery and trial preparation
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filings and deliverables

Calendar & Scheduling Management

  • Manage attorney calendars, meetings, depositions, and key deadlines
  • Balance competing priorities across multiple attorneys

Client & Team Collaboration

  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and internal teams
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure efficient workflow

Billing & Administrative Coordination

  • Assist with time entry, expense tracking, and billing review
  • Maintain accurate client files and records

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant
  • Experience supporting litigation or real estate practices preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems (e.g., iManage)
  • Strong knowledge of court procedures, e-filing, and legal documentation
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to varying attorney work styles (paper-heavy and fully digital environments)

Benefits
