In-House Attorney USABotics (Contract, Hybrid)

Location: Tooele, UT (Hybrid: Remote + 1 day in-office per week)

Compensation: $100$150 per hour (DOE)

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact contract role for an experienced attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Litigation is mandatory. You will immediately take ownership of active litigation matters, including case strategy, discovery, filings, court appearances, and trial preparation. Youll also manage contracts, corporate matters, and negotiations. If youre a proactive problem-solver who wants your work to directly shape a fast-growing company, this is the role for you.

What Youll Do

With the support of a dedicated in-house paralegal, you will:

• Lead and support litigation, including case strategy, discovery, filings, and court appearances/trial preparation.
• Manage document-heavy litigation processes, including Bates numbering and content document management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements (vendor, client, partnership, IP, and technology contracts).
• Provide strategic counsel on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Conduct targeted legal research and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk as we scale.
• Represent USABotics in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.

What You Bring

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Utah Bar license in good standing.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in litigation, contracts, and/or corporate law (trial or heavy motion practice experience strongly preferred).
• Litigation experience is mandatory. Candidates must be prepared to immediately step into active litigation matters upon hire, including managing ongoing cases, court filings, discovery, and trial preparation from day one.
• Willingness to litigate and appear in court when necessary.
• Strong organizational skills with proven experience in Bates numbering and content/document management systems.
• Excellent writing, negotiation, and communication skills you can translate complex legal issues into clear business advice.
• Self-starter with strong judgment who excels working independently in a dynamic environment.
• Comfortable with a hybrid schedule: fully remote with one in-office day per week in the Tooele area.
