1998 Senior Business Immigration Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Immigration Paralegal to join a dynamic and fast-paced legal practice. This hybrid opportunity is based in the Detroit metropolitan area.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support attorneys with the preparation and filing of employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant matters, including H-1B, TN, E-2, L-1, PERM applications, employment-based preference petitions, adjustment of status applications, and consular processing matters
• Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and strategic thinking in handling case assignments
• Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate potential case-related issues when appropriate
• Maintain consistent and timely communication with clients
• Update and manage case management systems while tracking client status updates and critical filing deadlines
• Prepare and assist with Requests for Evidence (RFE) responses
• Provide additional administrative and case support duties as needed

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A bachelor’s degree
• 5–6+ years of experience handling complex employment-based immigration matters in a paralegal capacity
• At least 3 years of hands-on PERM experience, including all stages of the process
• Experience working with immigration case management software; familiarity with INSZoom is a plus
• Exposure to family-based immigration matters is preferred
