Legal Assistant (Litigation)
Location: Seattle, WA
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid (3 days in office)
Pay: $75,000-95,000 + bonus
LHH is working with a nationally respected law firm who seeks an experienced Legal Assistant to support a busy civil defense and insurance coverage litigation practice. This role requires strong knowledge of state and federal court filings, court rules, and experience supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation, including trials.
Key Responsibilities
Support litigation attorneys with administrative and legal tasks
Prepare, proofread, and file pleadings in state and federal courts (including e-filing)
Manage calendars for hearings, depositions, mediations, and deadlines
Apply knowledge of court rules and procedures
Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support as needed
Organize case files and assist with records management
Handle billing, expenses, correspondence, and client reporting
Qualifications
5+ years of litigation legal assistant / secretary experience
Strong experience with state and federal court filings
Knowledge of court rules and scheduling hearings, depositions, and mediations
Prior trial support experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with iManage or FileSite a plus
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
